On July 26, MCC and China MCC held the 2023 Mid-year Economic Operation Analysis Meeting in Beijing. Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and member of the Party Leadership Group of China Minmetals, Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC, and Chairman of MCC and China MCC, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, Zhang Mengxing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC and Secretary of the Party Committee and President of China MCC, made a work report, Yan Aizhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of MCC and China MCC, presided over the meeting, and Zou Hongying, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of MCC and China MCC and Vice President of China MCC, presented an analysis report on the economic operation situation.
The central task of the meeting is to earnestly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, conscientiously implement the spirit of the seminar for leaders of Chinese central state-owned enterprises and the mid-year economic operation analysis meeting of China Minmetals, effectively practice the "Five Core Essentials", and conscientiously implement the deployment requirements of the "Five Action Plans" and the "Innovative, Efficiency, Digital, Safe and Brand China Minmetals". The meeting also proposed tasks including adhering to the striving goal of "One Establishment, the Best and the Most Trusted, and Five Strengths", focusing on high-quality development, systematically summarizing the work of the first half of the year, and working hard in the third quarter and the second half of the year with the unified idea, consolidated consensus, and practical responsibility to ensure full completion of annual task goals.
At the meeting, Chen Jianguang briefly reviewed the overall situation of MCC operation and management work in the first half of the year and made arrangements around high-quality development of key work that needs to be focused on in the second half of the year, combining with the current market situation and the actual operation and management work in the first half of the year. First, we should plan core tasks, focus on theoretical study programs, and enhance the momentum of high-quality development. Second, we should understand the overall trend, enhance competitive advantages, and deepen high-quality development. Third, we should meet the challenges, fight against special challenges, and consolidate the foundation of high-quality development. Fourth, we should grasp the overall situation, break through key points, and stimulate high-quality development as a whole. Fifth, we should weigh the advantages and disadvantages, strengthen risk prevention, and build a solid foundation for high-quality development. Sixth, we should take the responsibilities, enhance Party building, and strengthen the guidance of high-quality development.
Zhang Mengxing reviewed and summarized the outstanding achievements in operation and management work in the first half of the year from five aspects of business performance, marketing, fundamental management, reform and innovation, and security situation, and carefully deployed the key work in the second half of the year from ten aspects of market competition, overseas expansion, contract fulfillment, management strengthening, value creation, investment management, R&D promotion, decreases of "accounts receivables and inventory", safety insurance, and implementation focus.
More than 820 people, including members of the leading group of MCC and China MCC, non-group senior executives, other working group members, and heads of relevant functional departments and subsidiaries of the MCC headquarters, attended the meeting in the main venue and 35 branch venues via video.
